সিরাজগঞ্জের সলঙ্গা থানার হাটিকুমরুল ইন্টারচেঞ্জ ও আশপাশের এলাকায় রাতভর বিশেষ অভিযান চালিয়ে চোরাই মালামাল কেনাবেচা চক্রের চার সদস্য এবং নাশকতার মামলার এক আসামিকে গ্রেপ্তার করেছে পুলিশ।
পুলিশ সূত্রে জানা যায়, গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে সলঙ্গা থানা পুলিশের একটি আভিযানিক দল থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি)-এর নেতৃত্বে মঙ্গলবার গভীর রাত থেকে বুধবার ভোর পর্যন্ত এলাকায় অভিযান পরিচালনা করে। অভিযানে চোরাই মালামাল ক্রয়-বিক্রয়ের সঙ্গে জড়িত চারজনকে আটক করা হয়। গ্রেপ্তাররা হলেন মো. কুদ্দুস (৩৪), মো. ইসমাইল হোসেন (৩০), মো. আশরাফুল ইসলাম (২৮) এবং মো. সবুজ আলী (২৬)। তাদের মধ্যে কুদ্দুস ও ইসমাইল হোসেনের বাড়ি বগুড়ার শেরপুর উপজেলার ভবানীপুর এলাকায়। অপরদিকে আশরাফুল ইসলাম ও সবুজ আলীর বাড়ি সিরাজগঞ্জের সলঙ্গা উপজেলার হাটিকুমরুল বাগিচাপাড়া এলাকায়।
এদিকে একই অভিযানে নাশকতামূলক কর্মকাণ্ডের অভিযোগে কেএম মেহেদী হাসান (২৬) নামে আরও একজনকে গ্রেপ্তার করা হয়। তার বাড়ি সলঙ্গা উপজেলার দেওভোগ এলাকায়।
সলঙ্গা থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ ওসি মো, আসলাম আলী পিপিপি এম বলেন, গ্রেপ্তারদের বিরুদ্ধে প্রয়োজনীয় আইনগত ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের প্রক্রিয়া চলছে। তাদের আদালতে সোপর্দ করা হবে এবং সংশ্লিষ্ট বিষয়ে অধিকতর তদন্ত অব্যাহত রয়েছে। জননিরাপত্তা নিশ্চিত করতে এবং অপরাধী চক্রের বিরুদ্ধে ভবিষ্যতেও এ ধরনের অভিযান অব্যাহত থাকবে।
