অবৈধভাবে পুকুর খননের অভিযোগে সিরাজগঞ্জের তাড়াশে আট টি পুকুরের ঠিকাদারকে আট লাখ ৪৫ হাজার টাকা জড়িমানা করে তা আদায় করা হয়েছে। সেই সাথে জব্দ করা হয়েছে পুকুর খননকারী যন্ত্র ভেক্যু (এক্সাভেটর) মেশিনের ব্যাটারী সহ বিভিন্ন সরঞ্জামাদি।
গতকাল রোববার সারাদিন ও আজ সোমবার (২৯ ডিসেম্বর) উপজেলার বিভিন্ন ইউনিয়নে এ অভিযান পরিচালনা করেন উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার নুসরাত জাহান, জেলা প্রশাসক কার্যালয়ের নির্বাহী ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেট উম্মে নাজনীন নিশাত ও এহসান আহমেদ খাঁন।
পরে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত বসিয়ে ঠিকাদারদের নগদ অর্থদন্ড অনাদায়ে বিভিন্ন মেয়াদে কারাদন্ড প্রদান করেন।
এ সময় পুকুর খনন না করার শর্তে মুচলেকা দিয়ে তারা জরিমানার অর্থ পরিশোধ করেন।
জানা যায়, বালু মহাল ও মাটি ব্যবস্থাপনা আইন ২০১০ এর ১৫/১ ধারা মোতাবেক ঠিকাদার গোলাম মোস্তফা কে এক লাখ ৯৫ হাজার টাকা, মো: মামুন কে ৭০ হাজার টাকা, মো: নাঈম হোসেন কে ৯০ হাজার টাকা. মো: রুহুল আমিন কে ৯০ হাজার টাকা, মো: মিসকান কে এক লাখ টাকা, রুহুল আমিন কে এক লাখ টাকা ও মো: শাহ আলম সরকার কে দুই লাখ টাকা জরিমানা করে তা আদায় করা হয়।
সম্প্রতি তাড়াশ উপজেলার বিভিন্ন মাঠের উর্বর জমিতে বেশ কয়েকটি ভূমিদস্যূ চক্র পুকুর খনন করায় বিভিন্ন পত্র পত্রিকায় সংবাদ প্রকাশিত হয় । নাগরিক সমাজের আহবানে মানববন্ধন ও প্রতিবাদ কর্মসূচি পালন করায়, সিরাজ জেলা প্রশাসক মো: আমিনুল ইসলামের নির্দেশনায় নির্বাহী ম্যাজিষ্ট্রেটরা এ অভিযান পরিচালনা করেন।
এ প্রসঙ্গে তাড়াশ উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার নুসরাত জাহান বলেন, কোনো ভাবেই পুকুর খনন করতে দেয়া হবেনা। পুকুর খননের ফলে একদিকে কৃষিজমি কমে আসছে, অপরদিকে জলাবদ্ধতায় ফসলহানী সহ জনদুর্ভোগ বৃদ্ধি পাচ্ছে। এ কারণে যেখানেই পুকুর খনন,সেখানেই অভিযান পরিচালনা করা হবে।
