সিরাজগঞ্জের তাড়াশে রাতের আঁধারে একটি সার ও কীটনাশকের দোকানে দুর্ধর্ষ চুরির ঘটনা ঘটেছে। চোরেরা দোকানের টিন কেটে প্রায় সাড়ে তিন লাখ টাকার কীটনাশকসহ বিভিন্ন মালামাল নিয়ে গেছে। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে মঙ্গলবার (২১ অক্টোবর) গভীর রাতে উপজেলার কাস্তা বাজারে অবস্থিত “মেসার্স জিসা এন্টারপ্রাইজ” নামের দোকানে।
দোকানের মালিক জাহাঙ্গীর আলম জানান, “প্রতিদিনের মতো গতকাল রাত সাড়ে ৯টার দিকে দোকান বন্ধ করে বাড়ি চলে যাই। আজ সকালে দোকান খুলে দেখি পেছনের দিকের টিন কাটা। ভেতরে ঢুকে দেখি দোকানের মালামাল নেই। প্রায় সাড়ে তিন লাখ টাকার কীটনাশক ও অন্যান্য জিনিসপত্র চুরি হয়ে গেছে।”
এ ঘটনায় এলাকায় আতঙ্কের সৃষ্টি হয়েছে। স্থানীয় কৃষি ব্যবসায়ীরা বলছেন, ধারাবাহিকভাবে চুরি-ছিনতাইয়ের ঘটনা বেড়ে যাওয়ায় তারা চরম নিরাপত্তাহীনতায় ভুগছেন।
তাড়াশ থানার অফিসার ইনচার্জ (ওসি) মো. জিয়াউর রহমান বলেন, “কীটনাশকের দোকানে চুরির বিষয়ে এখনো কেউ থানায় লিখিত অভিযোগ দেয়নি। অভিযোগ পেলে বিষয়টি তদন্ত করে আইনানুগ ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে।
স্থানীয়রা দ্রুত চোরদের শনাক্ত করে আইনের আওতায় আনার দাবি জানিয়েছেন।
