সিরাজগঞ্জের সলঙ্গায় পুকুরপাড় থেকে আন্না রানী (৩৮) নামে এক নারী গ্রাম পুলিশের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। শনিবার (১১ অক্টোবর) সকালে সলঙ্গা ইসলামিয়া বহুমুখি উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় মাঠসংলগ্ন পুকুরের পাড়ে লাউয়ের মাচার নিচ থেকে মরদেহটি উদ্ধার করা হয়।
নিহত আন্না রানী সলঙ্গা ইউনিয়নের ঋষি পাড়ার মৃত বীজন চন্দ্র দাসের স্ত্রী। তিনি স্থানীয় ইউনিয়ন পরিষদের গ্রাম পুলিশ হিসেবে কর্মরত ছিলেন।
সলঙ্গা থানার উপপরিদর্শক (এসআই) ব্রজেশ্বর বর্মণ জানান, সকালে স্থানীয়রা পুকুরপাড়ে মরদেহ পড়ে থাকতে দেখে থানায় খবর দেয়। পরে পুলিশ ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে।
তিনি বলেন, “নিহতের গলায় জখমের চিহ্ন রয়েছে। প্রাথমিকভাবে ধারণা করা হচ্ছে, তাকে শ্বাসরোধ বা ধারালো কিছু দিয়ে হত্যা করে লাশ ফেলে রাখা হয়েছে।”
তবে কারা, কী কারণে তাকে হত্যা করেছে, তা এখনও নিশ্চিত নয়। ঘটনাটি তদন্তাধীন বলে জানিয়েছেন এসআই ব্রজেশ্বর।
পুলিশ মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য সিরাজগঞ্জ শহীদ এম মনসুর আলী মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের মর্গে পাঠিয়েছে।
এ ঘটনায় নিহতের স্বজনরা হত্যা মামলা দায়েরের প্রস্তুতি নিচ্ছেন।
স্থানীয়দের ভাষ্য, আন্না রানী ছিলেন পরিশ্রমী ও দায়িত্বশীল গ্রাম পুলিশ সদস্য। তার এমন করুণ মৃত্যুতে এলাকায় শোকের ছায়া নেমে এসেছে।
