পাবনার ভাঙ্গুড়া উপজেলার অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র নবগঠিত আহ্বায়ক কমিটি ও ওয়ার্ড কমিটি নিয়ে তীব্র ক্ষোভ ও অসন্তোষ বিরাজ করছে। অভিযোগ দীর্ঘ ১৭ বছর রাজপথে আন্দোলন-সংগ্রামে অংশ নেওয়া ত্যাগী নেতাদের বাদ দিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগ ও পারিবারিক আত্মীয়-স্বজনদের নিয়ে রাতের আঁধারে কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে। এতে ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র ভেতরে তীব্র অস্থিরতা দেখা দিয়েছে এবং যেকোনো সময় বড় ধরনের সংঘাতের আশঙ্কা করছেন স্থানীয়রা।
অনুসন্ধানে জানা গেছে, ওয়ার্ড কমিটি তৈরিতে ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র সিনিয়র যুগ্ম আহ্বায়ক আব্দুল মান্নানের স্বাক্ষর পাওয়ার থাকলেও তার স্বাক্ষর ছাড়াই আহ্বায়ক মোজাম্মেল হক মোজাম ও সদস্য সচিব ওয়াজ উদ্দিন ইউনিয়নের নয়টি ওয়ার্ড কমিটির তালিকা রাতের আঁধারে প্রস্তুত করে উপজেলা বিএনপি’র কাছে জমা দেন। স্থানীয় নেতাদের সঙ্গে কোনো ধরনের পরামর্শ বা আলোচনা না করে গোপনে এই কমিটি গঠন করা হয়। এতে দীর্ঘদিনের সংগ্রামী নেতারা নিজেদের অবহেলিত মনে করছেন। তারা দ্রুত এই ইউনিয়ন ও ওয়ার্ড কমিটি বিলুপ্ত করে নতুন করে ত্যাগীদের দিয়ে কমিটি গঠনের দাবিতে চলতি বছরের ২৬ আগস্ট শতাধিক মোটরসাইকেল নিয়ে শোডাউন করে ইউনিয়নের ১৯টি গ্রাম ঘুরে নেতাকর্মীদের মতামত নেন এবং বিক্ষোভ মিছিল করেন। পরদিন ২৭ আগস্ট আবারো নির্যাতিত ও ত্যাগী নেতারা অষ্টমনিষা বাজারে বিক্ষোভ ও সমাবেশ করেন। সেখানে উপস্থিত নেতারা ৭২ ঘণ্টার আলটিমেটাম দিয়ে বলেন, যদি বিতর্কিত ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র আহ্বায়ক, সদস্য সচিব ও যুগ্ম আহ্বায়কদের বহিষ্কার করে কমিটি সংস্কার না করা হয়, তবে তারা কঠোর কর্মসূচি ঘোষণা করবেন। এরপর ৩০ আগস্ট সংবাদ সম্মেলন করে তারা তাদের দাবি পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন। সংবাদ সম্মেলনে ভুক্তভোগীরা ত্যাগী নেতারা অভিযুক্তদের আওয়ামী লীগের নেতাদের সঙ্গে তোলা বিভিন্ন ছবি ও পোস্টার প্রদর্শন করেন। এগুলো সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে ছড়িয়ে পড়ার পর স্থানীয়ভাবে উত্তেজনা আরও বেড়ে যায়। সাধারণ নেতাকর্মীরাও বিষয়টি নিয়ে প্রকাশ্যে অসন্তোষ প্রকাশ করেন।
অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়নের স্থানীয় বাসিন্দারা বলছেন, রাজনৈতিক দ্বন্দ্ব যদি আরও বাড়ে তবে ইউনিয়নে অস্থিতিশীল পরিস্থিতি তৈরি হতে পারে। ব্যবসায়ী মহল বলছে, এর ফলে বাজার-ঘাটের স্বাভাবিক পরিবেশ নষ্ট হবে। অনেকেই মনে করছেন, ত্যাগী নেতাদের বাদ দিলে তরুণ প্রজন্মও রাজনীতি থেকে বিমুখ হয়ে পড়বে।
এদিকে রাজনৈতিক বিশ্লেষকরা মনে করছেন, বিএনপি’র ভেতরে দীর্ঘদিনের সংগ্রামীদের অবমূল্যায়ন করে যদি বিতর্কিত কমিটি বহাল থাকে তবে তা শুধু ইউনিয়ন নয়, উপজেলা ও জেলা পর্যায়েও নেতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলবে। এর ফলে ভাঙ্গুড়ার রাজনীতি নতুন সংঘাতের দিকে যেতে পারে।
৮ নং ওয়ার্ড বিএনপির সাবেক সভাপতি মো: আলেপ আলী বলেন, “অভিযুক্তদের আওয়ামী লীগের নেতাদের সঙ্গে তোলা ছবি আছে, সেসব প্রমাণ সবার সামনে এসেছে। অথচ তাদেরই দায়িত্ব দেওয়া হয়েছে। এভাবে চলতে থাকলে আমরা ত্যাগী নেতাকর্মীরা হতাশ হয়ে পড়বো এবং সংগঠন ভাঙনের মুখে পড়বে।”
৬ নং ওয়ার্ড বিএনপি’র সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক মো: জাহাঙ্গীর আলম বলেন, “আমরা রাজপথে লড়েছি, মামলা-মোকদ্দমা খেয়েছি, জেল খেটেছি। অথচ আমাদের বাদ দিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগপন্থীদের কমিটিতে স্থান দেওয়া হয়েছে।”
২ নং ওয়ার্ড বিএনপির সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক আলমগীর হোসেন বলেন, “আমি জেল খেটেছি। যাদেরকে দিয়ে কমিটি করা হয়েছে তারা কোনো দিন বিএনপি’র আন্দোলনে ছিল না।”
১ নং ওয়ার্ড বিএনপির সাবেক সভাপতি মো: আব্দুস সামাদ খান, ৩ নং ওয়ার্ড বিএনপির সাবেক সভাপতি মো: জহুরুল ইসলাম ও ইউনিয়ন ছাত্রদলের সাবেক সাধারণ সম্পাদক আলহাজ উদ্দিন বলেন, আমরা কত জেল জুলুম নির্যাতনের শিকার হয়েছি। কতরাত বাড়ি থেকে পালিয়ে থেকেছি। অথচ কমিটিতে নেতারা আমাদের মূল্যায়ন করছে না। মূল্যায়ন পাচ্ছে আওয়ামী লীগের লোকজন ও আত্মীয়-স্বজন। এভাবে চলতে থাকলে একসময় বিএনপি’র রাজনীতি হারিয়ে যাবে।
ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র সিনিয়র যুগ্ন আহবায়ক আব্দুল মান্নান বলেন, উপজেলা বিএনপি’র নেতারা অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র যাকে আহবায়ক দিয়েছেন তিনি সাবেক জামাত নেতা এবং আওয়ামী লীগের সঙ্গে মিল করে চলেছেন। এবং যাকে সদস্য সচিব করেছেন তিনি ২০১২ সালে যুবদলের সেক্রেটারি ছিলেন। এর পরবর্তীতে ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি কে ব্যবসায়িক পার্টনার বানিয়ে আওয়ামী লীগের বিভিন্ন প্রোগ্রামে উপস্থিত থেকেছে। কিন্তু বিএনপি’র কোন দলীয় কোন প্রোগ্রামে অংশগ্রহণ করেননি। অথচ তাকেই সদস্য সচিব মনোনীত করা হয়েছে।
তিনি আরো বলেন, বর্তমান বিএনপি’র রাজনীতি পরিবেশ নোংরা ও ঘোলাটে হয়েছে এবং অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র মধ্যে যে থমথমে অবস্থা বিরাজ করছে এর থেকে যদি কোন সাংঘর্ষকের রূপ নেয় তাহলে আমি মনে করব যে এর জন্য দায়ী উপজেলা বিএনপি।
সদস্য সচিব ওয়াজ উদ্দিন বলেন, “আমার বিরুদ্ধে মিথ্যা অভিযোগ তোলা হচ্ছে। আমি সবসময় দলের সঙ্গেই ছিলাম, ভিন্ন কোনো রাজনৈতিক দলের সঙ্গে সম্পৃক্ত ছিলাম না। কেউ যদি আওয়ামী লীগের সাথে সম্পৃক্ততা প্রমাণ দিতে পারে আমি স্বইচ্ছায় আমার সদস্য সচিব পদ থেকে সরে দাঁড়াবো।”
সকল অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করে অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র আহ্বায়ক মোজাম্মেল হক মোজাম বলেন, “আমি কখনোই জামাতের সাথে জড়িত ছিলাম না। মূলত আমাকে হেয় প্রতিপন্ন করতে প্রতিপক্ষ এ ধরনের কথাবার্তা বলছে। এবং আমি নিয়ম অনুযায়ী কাজ করে যাচ্ছি। আওয়ামী লীগের সঙ্গে আঁতাতের অভিযোগও সম্পূর্ণ ভিত্তিহীন।”
উপজেলা বিএনপির সদস্য সচিব প্রভাষক জাফর ইকবাল হিরোক বলেন, এই বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে মৌখিক এবং লিখিত অভিযোগ পেয়েছি। বিষয়গুলো নিয়ে আমরা সাংগঠনিকভাবে ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণের উদ্যোগ নিয়েছি।
উপজেলা বিএনপি’র আহ্বায়ক নূর মুজাহিদ স্বপন বলেন, অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি’র ওয়ার্ড কমিটি কিছু আওয়ামী লীগের লোকজন দিয়ে কমিটি গঠন করা হয়েছে এমন একটা অভিযোগ পেয়েছি। যেহেতু জেলা বিএনপি’র সদস্য সচিবের বাড়ি এই ইউনিয়নে তাই তাকে সঙ্গে নিয়েই আমরা এই বিষয়টা নিষ্পত্তি করবো।
এদিকে অষ্টমনিষা ইউনিয়ন বিএনপি ও ওয়ার্ড কমিটি নিয়ে যে অস্থিরতা তৈরি হয়েছে তা দিন দিন প্রকট আকার ধারণ করছে। ত্যাগী নেতারা স্পষ্ট করে জানিয়েছেন, তারা কোনোভাবেই বিতর্কিত কমিটি মেনে নেবেন না। অন্যদিকে অভিযুক্ত নেতারা অভিযোগ অস্বীকার করছেন। এখন দেখার বিষয় উপজেলা ও জেলা বিএনপি কী পদক্ষেপ নেয় এবং এ সংঘাত কীভাবে নিরসন করা হয়।
