স্থানীয় সরকার, পল্লী উন্নয়ন ও সমবায় এবং যুব ও ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রণালয়ের উপদেষ্টা আসিফ মাহমুদ সজীব ভূঁইয়া তার ফেরিফায়েড ফেসবুক পেজে এক পোস্টে বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেন। তিনি জানান, নির্বাচনকে আরও অংশগ্রহণমূলক ও নিরপেক্ষ করতে সরকার এই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে।
