সিরাজগঞ্জের উল্লাপাড়া উপজেলার বোয়ালিয়া এলাকায় বাস চাপায় দুই মোটরসাইকেল আরোহীর মৃত্যু হয়েছে। খবর পেয়ে ঘটনাস্থলে পৌঁছে কাজ করছে হাইওয়ে থানা পুলিশ।রোববার (২৪ নভেম্বর) সকাল সাড়ে ৮টার দিকে উপজেলার বগুড়া-নগরবাড়ি মহাসড়কের বোয়ালিয়া এলাকায় এই দুর্ঘটনা ঘটে। বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছেন হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. আব্দুর রউফ।
নিহতরা হলেন উল্লাপাড়া উপজেলার পাঙ্গাসী ইউনিয়নের মাটিকাটা গ্রামের মো. মিজানুর রহমানের ছেলে শরিফুল ইসলাম (২৫) ও শাহজাদপুর উপজেলার রতন কান্দি গ্রামের শফিকুল ইসলামের ছেলে নাইমুর রহমান (২২)।
হাটিকুমরুল হাইওয়ে থানা ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. আব্দুর রউফ বলেন, শরিফুল ও নাইমুর মোটরসাইকেল নিয়ে পাবনার দিকে যাচ্ছিল। তারা বোয়ালিয়া এলাকায় পৌঁছালে বিপরীত দিক থেকে আসা একটি বাস তাদেরকে চাপা দেয়। এতে ঘটনাস্থলেই তাদের মৃত্যু হয়। খবর পেয়ে হাইওয়ে পুলিশের একটি টিম ঘটনাস্থলে গিয়ে তাদের মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে। তবে বাসটি তাদের চাপা দিয়ে পালিয়ে গেছে। টিমটি এখনো ঘটনাস্থলে কাজ করছে। এঘটনায় আইনগত ব্যবস্থা প্রক্রিয়াধীন।
