কুমিল্লার মুরাদনগরে বিয়ের দশ মাসের মাথায় অন্তঃসত্ত্বা শিল্পী আক্তার (২১) নামের এক গৃহবধূকে গলা কেটে হত্যা করা হয়েছে। ঘটনার পর থেকে তার স্বামী মো. গিয়াস উদ্দিন (২৮) গা-ঢাকা দিয়েছেন।
সোমবার (২৯ এপ্রিল) সকাল ১০টার দিকে উপজেলার সদর ইউনিয়নের মধ্যনগর গ্রামের কেন্দ্রীয় জামে মসজিদ সংলগ্ন গিয়াস উদ্দিনের বাড়িতে এ ঘটনা ঘটে। হত্যার শিকার শিল্পী আক্তার উপজেলার টনকি ইউনিয়নের রুক্কু মিয়ার মেয়ে। গত দশ মাস আগে পারিবারিকভাবে গিয়াস উদ্দিনের সঙ্গে তার বিয়ে হয়। শিল্পী চার মাসের গর্ভবতী ছিলেন বলে জানিয়েছে তার পরিবার।
শিল্পীর মা সুরাইয়া বেগম (৫৭) কান্না জড়িত কণ্ঠে বলেন, ‘বিয়ের পর মেয়েকে প্রায় সময় বিভিন্ন অজুহাতে মারধর করত গিয়াস। মূল কারণ ছিল বাপের বাড়ি থেকে তাকে টাকা এনে দেওয়া। আমি আগে যদি জানতাম, এই ডাকাত আমার মেয়েকে গলা কেটে হত্যা করবে, তাইলে আমার কলিজার টুকরাকে তার সংসারে দিতাম না।’
মুরাদনগর থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) প্রভাস চন্দ্র ধর জানান, সোমবার দুপুরে হত্যার শিকার গৃহবধূ শিল্পীর মরদেহ উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য কুমিল্লা মেডিকেল কলেজ হাসপাতালের মর্গে পাঠানো হয়েছে। শিল্পীর পরিবার থানায় হত্যা মামলা করবে বলে জানিয়েছে তাকে।
