কৃষি সম্প্রসারণ অধিদপ্তরের আয়োজনে সিরাজগঞ্জের উল্লাপাড়া উপজেলায় তিনদিন ব্যাপী কৃষি মেলা উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছে।
শুক্রবার সকালে উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্বরে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে সিরাজগঞ্জ-৪ উল্লাপাড়া আসনের সংসদ সদস্য বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা শফিকুল ইসলাম শফি এ মেলার উদ্বোধন করেন।
মেলা প্রাঙ্গণে উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার সানজিদা সুলতানা’র সভাপতিত্বে এক আলোচনা সভা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন,উল্লাপাড়া উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান সেলিনা মির্জা মুক্তি,ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আবু সাঈদ স্বপন,মহিলা ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান সবিতা প্লাবনী সুইটি,উপজেলা আওয়ামীলীগের সভাপতি ফয়সাল কাদের রুমি,সাধারণ সম্পাদক বীর মুক্তিযোদ্ধা গোলাম মোস্তফা ও উপজেলা কৃষি কর্মকর্তা সুবর্ণা ইয়াসমিন সুমি প্রমুখ।
তিন দিনের এ কৃষি মেলায় প্রায় ১৬টি প্রদর্শনী স্টলে বিভিন্ন প্রজাতির ফলফলাদি ও গাছের চারা এবং কৃষি উপকরণ প্রদর্শন করা হচ্ছে।
